OREGON ROUTES ONBOARDING SPECIALIST Classification: Classified 260-day calendar Reports to: Oregon Routes Program Director Status: Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW The Onboarding Specialist for Oregon Routes is part of a K-12 Business Services Team delivering comprehensive support to the Oregon Route's team and school districts all over Oregon. Oregon Routes is a new, statewide, supplemental drivers program designed to address the driver shortage in Oregon and ensure consistent transportation for children outside of normal bus routes. We aim to create a safe and efficient transportation system that benefits both the students and the community. At Oregon Routes, we understand the importance of reliable transportation for students. Our program benefits not only school districts and students but also the drivers, who earn additional income while contributing to their community. We are looking for a master of coordination and a problem-solver with a mature mindset. Your days will be filled with turning student transportation challenges into opportunities, ensuring deadlines are met, districts are onboarded, and resources are optimized. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Associate’s degree in business administration or information technology-related disciplines or equivalent experience. 2. Three to five years of forward-facing business development, customer service, or administrative roles operating with a high degree of responsibility and independence. 3. Knowledge of the Oregon education system, rules, and regulations is preferred. Transportation knowledge is preferred. 4. Proficiency with training and presenting to small to medium-sized groups. 5. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft's Office & Google Suite. 6. Outstanding planning, organization, and time management skills. 7. Strong ability to utilize tech programs to their fullest potential, including the ability to effectively teach others how to do so. 8. Ability to work collaboratively with others, including administrators, teachers, office staff, software support staff, Specialists, and developers. 9. Ability to independently prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. 10. Ability to follow established processes as well as recommend and implement improvements to processes related to this position. 11. Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and occasional overnight stays. 12. Reliable transportation to travel to various sites in Oregon and with some out-of-state travel. 13. Ability to work comfortably and have reliable internet access as a full-time remote employee. GENERAL INFORMATION This position has the following expectations and prerequisite abilities. 1. Present self and LBL in a professional manner including: in oral and written communication, professional disposition when working with others and maintaining professional dress standards. 7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directives, find requested data and present in user-friendly formats for internal and public distribution. 8. Maintain regular attendance at work. Be punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedules. 9. Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students and district staff as directed. 10. Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds. 11. Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or work setting. 12. Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy through utilizing standard workplace technology including MS and Google Office suites. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This is not necessarily an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, and duties associated with this position. The supervisor of this position may modify this list at any time it’s deemed necessary. 1. Develop, coordinate, and collaborate on the implementation of streamlined systems and processes for school districts, drivers, and parents under the direction of the Oregon Routes Program Director. 2. Manage all aspects of onboarding and providing continuing support to assigned districts including business development, district training, customer service, and technical and procedural troubleshooting. 3. Manage correspondence with districts, drivers, parents, and school personnel. 4. Represent Oregon Routes at relevant conferences, developing leads into new districts through both group presentations and professional networking. 5. Travel to school districts across Oregon introducing and onboarding the Oregon Routes program. 6. Build solid and trusting relationships with our participating districts and maintain those throughout their lifecycle with Oregon Routes. 7. Refine Oregon Route’s onboarding process for districts and drivers through continual improvement. 8. Lead training for drivers and districts. 9. Liaise with the Oregon Department of Education and Oregon Department of Transportation where necessary to troubleshoot issues. 10. Document new processes and procedures as they are developed. 11. Work with district staff to maintain meeting schedules. 12. Attend and support meetings and project documents to ensure clarity of weekly milestones, meetings, and deliverables. 13. Input and schedule new routes as needed. 14. Collaborate on streamlining driver credentialing.
