      About the AusPac Graduate Program

      We are excited to invite applications for our 2026 Engineering Graduate Program, commencing in February 2026.

      As a graduate, you’ll be part of a two-year program featuring:

      Your Role as a Graduate Engineer

      Depending on your discipline, you’ll contribute to critical operations and projects that drive innovation and performance across our sites.

      Opportunity: Graduate – Manufacturing Quality
      As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a high-impact manufacturing environment and play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality.

      What you'll be doing:
      • Support quality improvement projects focused on product compliance and customer specifications;
      • Assist in supplier management initiatives, including raw material qualification and performance monitoring;
      • Contribute to internal process quality control and continuous improvement activities;
      • Participate in training programs and cross-functional collaboration to enhance quality standards.

      Opportunity: Graduate – Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer
      As a Graduate – Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer at Orica, you’ll help modernize plant operations through smart systems and continuous improvement.

      What you’ll be doing:
      • Support asset management strategies to maximize plant uptime and equipment reliability;
      • Perform fault finding and problem solving to quickly resolve technical issues;
      • Assist with planned and reactive maintenance, including major plant shutdowns;
      • Maintain a wide range of manufacturing equipment, gaining hands-on experience across various systems.

      Opportunity: Graduate – Process Safety & Risk Engineer
      As a Graduate – Process Safety & Risk Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience in supporting SHES systems, risk management, and on-site implementation.

      A key part of the role includes leading a major project on process safety risk assessment and control related to the manufacturing and handling of explosives in a global setting.

      What you’ll be doing:
      • Drive and deliver improvements in process safety risk management across multiple manufacturing sites;
      • Analyze SHES data to identify material risks and program gaps, supporting sites in improving risk controls;
      • Develop and present progress reports to leadership using tools like Enablon, Power BI, and OpenText;
      • Participate in Hazard Studies and Bowtie assessments to support process safety systems development;
      • Contribute to strategic SHES projects aimed at closing performance gaps and enhancing safety culture.

      What you will bring

      You’re studying or have recently completed a degree in:
      • Science (Chemistry or Materials Science) Quality or Materials Engineering related Discipline;
      • Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering;
      • Chemical, Process, Safety Engineering or related discipline.

      Graduation year: 2024 or 2025
      Degree level: Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, or Master’s

      Location and Support

      Your first rotation will be based at our Helidon site, QLD.
      Future rotations may include other exciting locations across AusPac (to be confirmed).
