Position InformationPosting Number ST000993 Position Title Orientation Team Leader - 2023/24 Department Activities Ctr - Students Division Student Affairs and Athletics Supervisor Chris Wallace Supervisor Title Description of Job Duties § Assist in planning, preparation, and implementation of Orientation programs§ Assist in the recruitment and selection of Orientation Team§ Assist in planning and executing training program for Orientation Team§ Assist with evaluation and assessment of Orientation programs§ Assist with database management§ Assist with the creation and distribution of all Orientation marketing materials§ Work collaboratively with all Orientation campus partners§ Welcome new students and their families to the North Central College Community§ Serve as a role model for new students and Orientation Team§ Serve as a student representative of the Office of Student Involvement§ Present information on campus resources to new students and/or Orientation Team§ Maintain a positive environment for Orientation Team and new students§ Attendance at all training and orientation sessions/programs as assigned and/or listed in the Orientation Schedule§ Be available to support Orientation Team during assigned summer hours§ Communicate with off-campus vendors§ Work 10-15 mutually agreed-upon hours per week in the Office of Student Involvement during Spring 2024 semester§ Complete summer Orientation and Welcome Week tasks by deadlines as assigned to them§ Work 5 mutually agreed-upon hours per week in the Office of Student Involvement during the Fall 2024 SemesterDo the job duties for this position include any driving requirements? No Job Qualifications - Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 or above and in good judicial standing – Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student in the Spring Semester 2024 and Fall Semester of 2024 – Campus leadership experience – Demonstrated knowledge of campus resources or willingness to learn – Ability to serve as a self-motivated leader and to take initiative when appropriate – Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with new students, current students, parents, staff and faculty – Prior Orientation experience is preferred, but not required *RAs may not serve as Orientation Team Leaders *May not go on any May Term tripWill this position be working with minors?
