      We are looking to expand our Triage team to assist patients with concerns related to their orthopaedic journey specifically in the intake and/or post-procedure follow up care in the Physiatry Division. After on-site training, this role is a hybrid, full-time position, where you will work from home up to 4 days a week and 1 day a week in office. Support for providers and patient care will primarily be handled via phone conversations with patients and physician care teams, although in office day should provide opportunity to build a working relationship with providers and their care teams.

      As a Triage Nurse, you will provide clinical advice to our patients relating to the orthopedic care they received in office. you will be part of a larger subspecialized triage team, and provide support for each other when needed. You will work remotely in a HIPAA Compliant space within your home 4 days a week and 1 day a week in office with provided equipment (you take into your existing internet connection). You will be an important part of a care team assisting with providing timely response to patient concerns.

      Here’s What You Can Expect

      • Providing high-quality clinical advice to patients via the phone by listening, taking quality notes, documenting in the EHR and collaborating on patient concerns.
      • You will be on the phone for extended periods of time which may seem unnatural; you will type into the regularly and with accuracy.
      • A fast-paced, specialized environment of supporting patient care by communicating with the provider team of Physicians and Physician Assistants, via electronic medical record system, secure messenger systems and/or phone to ensure appropriate clinical advice is given based on current protocols.

      What We’re Looking For

      • Ability to prioritize and quickly shift gears to ensure patient concerns related to pre and post-procedure care are handled in a timely fashion.
      • Experience working in an orthopaedic clinic or urgent care setting; and successful experience providing telephonic triage in a busy clinic.
      • Strong listening and communication skills to appropriately address patients concerns and translating concerns to the care team.
      • You practice the art of listening, asking clarifying questions, and avoiding interrupting your patient.
      • Active RN or LPN license OR CMA Certification in good standing.
