      Roles & Responsibilities:

      In this challenging role you are responsible for project management of our chemical water treatment dosing, measurement & control portfolio projects in primarily Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany, with occasional travel to support other regions in North-East Europe. This allows our customers to reduce their water usage & improve their energy efficiency. You provide electrical & mechanical solutions with support of the design & construction team and work directly with the commercial & service teams and our customers. The OTR Project Manager is a professional service provider.

      Specific responsibilities include:

      • Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policies
      • Comply with Veolia WTS quality standards and initiatives
      • After PO has been received:
        • Track project cost vs costing and make sure to stay within budget
        • Arrange project kick-off meeting via commercial team with customer & OTR Design engineer(s)
        • Arrange project kick-off meeting with suppliers
        • Plan & prepare pre-assembly, site works based on input / in cooperation with OTR Design Team and OTR Planner
        • Register all employees & contractors for site entry and site entry training or other documentation required to enter the customer site
        • Arrange documentation required to perform the site works
        • Create a planning for the works on-site and reserve Veolia employees or subcontractors to perform the site works
        • Arrange transport of equipment to be installed to the customer site with suppliers or via Admin Support team
        • Arrange cranes if needed with customer / suppliers or via Admin Support team
        • Become familiar with the scope by learning the technical package prepared by the OTR Design team (electrical drawing, I/O list, P&ID, GA drawing, etc.)
        • Accompany the OTR Design team during the factory acceptance test (FAT)
      • Manage construction team on-site:
        • Arrange work permits or other documentation required
        • Daily EHS heads-up and reminder for Last Minute Risk Assessment
        • Arrange scaffolding, electricity, water and other facilities where needed with customer minimum 1 month before works are to be executed
        • Site inspection minimum 1 week before the works are to be executed (check if everything required to do the works is available)
        • Act as single point of contact for customer on site
        • Communicate on-site with customer on a daily basis the progress of execution and potential issues or safety risks we see for executing the project in time
        • Stop all works in case of an unexpected or unacceptable safety risk
        • Manage project execution in timing agreed with customer
        • Supervise OTR Construction Engineer(s)
        • Supervise subcontractor(s) used for execution of the job
        • Perform site commissioning & training to customer & commercial team
        • Arrange signature on customer acceptance form
        • Do troubleshooting together with OTR Construction Engineer(s) in case of issues
        • Management of issues under warranty together with OTR Construction Engineer(s)
      • Communication is professionally with customers / employees to explain design and documentation
      • Support OTR Design Engineers in case needed and depending on workload
      • Back-up for OTR Planning
      • Travel outside of the geographic area when needed
      • Participating in the local team meetings to share best practices

      What do you offer?

      • The candidate has a degree in electro engineering / process automation or proven knowledge / experience.
      • Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience.
      • Excellent communication skills, fluency in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing. German / French is a plus.
      • Time management skills.
      • Can do attitude and no 9.00 to 17.00 mentality
      • You can work in a high-profile environment with clear targets & deadlines.
      • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
      • Affinity with mid – heavy & large industry.
      • IT competent (AutoCAD, MS Project, Visio, ..) is a plus
      • Willing to travel within Germany, Belgium & Netherlands frequently, and outside if needed.
      • Good problem-solving capability.
      • Team player

      Skills preferred to do this role:

      • Knowledge and proven ability in the execution of long-term service agreements.
      • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Understanding of HSE regulations and HSE policies in the industrial environment.
      • Interacts well with external and internal stakeholders.
      • Knowledge of water & process treatment technologies.
