      LOCATION: Landis Run Intermediate School, Middle School, High School

      KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

      Education: Master’s Degree (must be a PA resident attending an out-of-state school psychology program or is an out-of-state resident attending a Pennsylvania School for School Psychology)

      Experience: Knowledge of psychological theory and practice, including assessment and test theory, diagnostic categories, personality assessment, learning disabilities, statistics, and counseling theories; knowledge of and adherence to legal procedures as contained in local, state, and federal policies governing special education, including IDEA laws and guidelines; knowledge of and adherence to professional and ethical standards of the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists; knowledge of counseling techniques, behavioral management techniques, classroom instructional interventions, and parent training strategies.

      Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, and effective use of technology required; expertise in working with school-aged children (minimum 3 years of experience) preferred.

      Additional Information: This is a paid internship to an eligible, out of state graduate student to serve as a school psychologist intern for the 2024-2025 school year. This internship is responsible for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by collaborating with educators, administrators, families, and other mental health professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for all students and strengthen connections between home and school. This internship is accountable for the handling of highly diverse situations and data. Critical areas currently include…support the district’s psycho-educational assessment program, support the district’s behavioral counseling program; and consult with and assist teachers, parents and staff to enhance their effectiveness in helping students.
