In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.

  Job Description

  Our Grosvenor Mine is seeking an experienced Outbye Electrician to join the team and safely support the mining operations. You’ll be maintaining and rectifying electrical faults on Outbye electrical services and equipment such as conveyors.

  The right person will possess at least 3 years’ Outbye experience in investigating, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing conveyor electrical system, mine de-watering systems, underground communication, iMAC belt control and gas monitoring.

  Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years coal mining experience,
  • UEE42620 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA),
  • Current Australian Electrical License
  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Tickets/Competencies for handheld bolters
  • Tickets/Competencies to operate LHD 15 tonne or less, and a man transporter,
  • A current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence,
  • Signed copies of training transcripts and/or authorisations,
  • Positive approach to collaboration across all relevant levels and departments, &
  • A mindset of improving safety and productivity practices.
