- Minimum of 6 months sit-down forklift experience, indoor experience acceptable.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks in an outdoor environment.
- Experience in a lumber yard or handling building materials.
- Experience operating outdoor forklifts is preferred but not required.

Job Description
This role requires individuals to operate large outdoor forklifts in an outdoor setting. Main duties include loading trailers and organizing products in the yard using RF scanners. Operators will spend 30-40% of their day on the forklift, with the rest involving general labor duties, including lifting materials weighing 50-60 lbs as needed.

Work Environment
The work environment is dusty, noisy, and busy, with approximately 60 staff members working in the yard and facility alongside 18 outdoor forklifts. Employees will work outdoors in all weather conditions and must dress appropriately for the weather. While the forklifts are heated, operators will spend a significant portion of their shifts exposed to extreme cold during winter. The facility is not transit accessible. Night shifts run from Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 6 AM, ending on Saturday morning. Employees must wear steel toe boots and safety vests, with the possibility of purchasing these items after the initial period. The most common safety concern is twisted ankles due to uneven ground, so proper footwear is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Balzac, Alberta.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
