- Work with the project team to identify outreach and training needs and priorities in tribal communities, and assist to develop and deliver educational events with locations and topics based on tribal needs.
- Assist the project team to create different educational materials for tribal communities, including Fact Sheets, YouTube videos, and Radio Scripts, based on tribal needs.
- Attend all necessary trainings that are critical for the job.
- Strong problem solving, writing, and oral communication skills; organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask; manage wide and varied projects; and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as tasks require.
- Personable and approachable attitude required.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality of all types of information.
- Demonstrated interest in food safety, public health or pest management or related areas through course work, research, or other activities.
- Desire to connect with tribal communities in Arizona.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Be accepted or enrolled full-time and seeking a degree in an accredited college or university.
- Native American language skills a plus.

This position is an opportunity to learn about food safety in tribal communities. In this position, the employee will have the option of creating different educational materials for tribal communities, including Fact Sheets, YouTube videos, and Radio Scripts. Important food safety topics include reducing microbial threats to public health, promoting fresh produce safety, eliminating pantry pests and pesticide safety.
