      Ferguson is seeking a proven HVAC Outside Commercial Sales Representative to fill an immediate need in a growing market. Are you self-motivated, dedicated, and can you deliver outstanding customer service while contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization? In that case, this position might be for you!

      This is a field-based sales role supporting customers in the Oregon, Northern California, and SW Washington markets. This position is based in our Tualatin, Oregon office. A fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop will be provided.

      Responsibilities:

      • Perform detailed calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements based on factors like size, layout, and local climate.
      • Select suitable HVAC equipment based on efficiency, capacity, and cost.
      • Craft the layout and sizing of ductwork and piping systems for air distribution and fluid circulation.
      • Build detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
      • Develop control strategies for automated HVAC systems that regulate temperature, humidity, and airflow.
      • Consult and integrate HVAC systems into the building's architectural design.
      • Maintain relationships with consulting engineers to ensure system compatibility.
      • Provide technical support to mechanical contractors during installation.
      • Design systems for energy efficiency and balanced building practices.
      • Incorporate new and emerging technologies to reduce energy consumption.
      • Evaluate long-term costs of different system options to recommend the most efficient solutions.
      • Ensure all HVAC designs and installations align with applicable building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
      • Provide expertise for issues related to air quality, system inefficiencies, and mechanical failures.
      • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
      • Supervise numerous construction projects, maintaining alignment with collaborators' expectations.
      • Maintain vendor relations to understand product placement and track purchase order status.
      • Coordinate shipments according to project timelines and communicate with customers on active projects.

      Qualifications:

      • 5-7 years of HVAC Mechanical Engineering experience.
      • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
      • Proficiency in CAD and other engineering design software.
      • Understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
      • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
      • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
      • Attention to detail and accuracy.

      This is a base plus commission-eligible role, with no cap on your commission. The estimated total compensation range, based on performance and experience, is $75,000 - $100,000+.
