What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and execute engagements focusing on cloud-based accounting systems like Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online
- Handle aspects of the monthly close, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and quality review
- Provide supervision and on-the-job training to staff, offering guidance and constructive feedback
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate engagement progress and issues effectively
- Ensure deliverables meet professional and firm standards while adhering to engagement time budgets
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (economics, finance, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or private industry, with a focus on complexity and number of engagements managed
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage Intacct
- Experience with cloud-based applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, and Expensify
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA license is desirable but not required
- Prior experience in a CPA firm is preferred
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus
- Ability to mentor and train staff effectively
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
