- Repetitive lifting/moving of parts weighing up to 25 lbs.

- Must have knowledge of well-established standard professional principles, theories and basic concepts of warehousing, logistics and movement of material.
- Interface with internal, external suppliers and customers.
- Works independently with minimal supervision and provides direction to other less experienced technicians associated with inventory and packaging activities.
- Principal accountabilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Proper preservation of material to ensure the highest quality
- Material to be delivered to downstream customer on time with special attention of overall accuracy and completion of all required documentation
- Contribute to daily responsibilities regarding safety and work area 5S is a must
- Full participation in Safety and 5S weekly / monthly audits
- Participate on process improvement teams within primary area and across departmental boundaries
- Provides solutions to more complex and technically challenging inventory and packaging activities.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Job stability
- Ability to operate shop equipment associated with warehousing
- Basic computer skills
- 2+ years of experience in warehousing and/or equivalent
- An associate degree is preferred to enhance promotability
- Knowledge of Solar Turbines warehousing procedures and practices

This position is accountable for supporting the movement of material for the overhaul of turbine engines and related equipment through the overhaul process utilizing standard warehousing, inventory control and material movement processes within a manufacturing environment.
Dimensions:
Works independently with minimal supervision and provides direction to other less experienced technicians associated with inventory and packaging activities.
Nature and Scope:
Must have experience in a warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or remanufacturing environment. forklift experience, basic computer skills, familiar with MS excel, word, Internet, BAAN and RF scanners.
Must have demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, forklifts, order picker and pallet jacks in a safe manner to properly store/handle large pieces of equipment utilized in the warehousing, logistics and value streams.
