      About the role

      The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all employees and hotel guests. This includes patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance systems, inspecting buildings and access points, and controlling entry. The officer will help prevent loss and damage by identifying and reporting irregularities, enforcing policies and procedures, and addressing unauthorized access or trespassing. Additionally, the role involves documenting incidents through detailed reports, recording observations and activities, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with the arrival and departure of VIPs and group guests.

      What you will do:

      • Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel to ensure that all staff and guests are in compliance with preventative safety and security measures.

      • Assist in the investigation of crimes and accidents occurring in the hotel and create incident reports of guest and employee accidents and incidents.

      • Assist in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to noise complaints, disorderly conduct, theft, power failures etc. Prepare documentation and incident reports as needed.

      • Respond and assist with all emergency situations in the hotel as necessary.

      • Operate and control the keys, lock system, alarm system, surveillance system and fire protection system including master key audits and employee bag checks.

      What you bring:

      • Minimum one year experience or related work

      • Experience in Hotel security preferred

      • Must possess strong communication, report writing, and grammar skills

      • Ability to write incident reports and handle difficult situations

      • Strong computer skills

      • Certified in CPR and first aid
