Operate and monitor production machines daily to ensure efficiency
Ensure machines are running smoothly, maintaining a steady production pace, and meeting quality standards
Establish procedures and safety guidelines while working in a team environment to achieve production goals
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes
Maintain the tooling and machinery in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance
Align packaged containers properly on conveyor belts for automatic wrapping
Record products packaged and reconciled figures with production logs
Setup, test and adjust new packaging machinery equipment or processes
Can understand the metric system as the machinery is European.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Familiarity with corrugate machinery
Familiarity with current safety OSHA regulations
Understanding of characteristics of packaging options; corrugated boxes, shrink wrap, pallets, bags, drums, tubes etc.
Protective measures – Familiarity with protective inserts like foam, air bags and methods for safeguarding package contents
Shipping codes/requirements – Knowledge of applicable shipping codes, fragility indicators, expiration date labels etc. needed on packages
Inventory procedures – Understand general inventory management procedures related to packaging supplies and finished goods
Manual dexterity – Steady hands and dexterity to efficiently pack a wide variety of products into packaging
Visual acuity – Sharp vision ability to spot defects in raw packaging materials or final packaged products
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
3+ years of experience
Ability to repair and demonstrate troubleshooting methods in a timely manner.
Mechanical repair and maintenance experience in a production environment.
Understanding, knowledge, and experience with production/packaging machinery.
Understanding of automated machinery and ability to work with HMIs.
Must be able to perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and setup of machinery.
Ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, drawings and interpret a variety of instructions whether in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to service and perform maintenance on packaging machinery to a high standard.
PC literate
Prior Machine Operating experience
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Position: Packaging Machine Technician
Department: Operations
Work Location: Arlington, TN, 100% Onsite
What you will be doing:
Responsible for routine mechanical maintenance and repairs; ensuring the machinery works to a high standard and the area is kept clean; responsible for the performance of the machines in the work-cell. It's critical to have a friendly demeanor and outstanding leadership abilities.
