      What you’ll do – The opportunity

      Packaging Operator

      Location:

      Calgary, Alberta

      Individual Contributor

      Description:

      Reporting to the Packaging & Warehouse Manager, the Packaging Operator is responsible for packaging beer at the Brewery and coordinating with different departments to ensure all production and packaging needs are met. Location: Wild Rose Brewery, Calgary, AB. Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm. Pay rate: $24.59/hour

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Participate and assist in all packaging operations to meet production and shipping schedules
      • Work in compliance with company and regulatory policies
      • Operate in a safe and detailed manner all equipment within the department, filler, seamer, case former, etc.
      • Report unusual incidents and accidents and assist in developing corrective measures
      • Work closely with all departments and crew leaders to ensure that internal and external customers are being adequately serviced
      • Assist in on-the-job training and participate in on-the-job training
      • Maintain production documents
      • Maintain a clean and safe workstation and area
      • Adhere to the food safety policies required per job duties and report non-conformities
      • Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other machines as required before, during and after production (training provided)
      • Perform operator related maintenance tasks as assigned by Packaging Manager and Maintenance Manager
      • Comfortable with heavy lifting and being on feet for periods of time


      Requirements:

      • 18+ years of age
      • Mechanical aptitude
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Trouble shooting ability
      • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new job skills
      • Demonstrated ability to meet Packaging job requirements, including initiative, safety, housekeeping, attendance and productivity
