Job Description

- Neatly and accurately pack the correct quantity and arrangement of bags into shipping cases.
- Monitor equipment and product to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Set up and feed shipping cartons into the taping machine.
- Identify and report damaged product, defective packaging, or equipment issues.
- Perform routine quality checks, including proper code and seal integrity.
- Push or pull carts of finished goods or waste as needed.
- Stack completed cartons on pallets in proper configuration for shipping.
- Perform all packaging tasks as needed to maintain consistent production flow.
- Maintain a clean work area; perform housekeeping duties regularly.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow production schedules and packaging specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly with team members.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced work environment preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to pack up to 60 bags per minute into shipping cases.
- Frequent hand and arm movements including grasping and reaching.
- Occasional reaching overhead; frequent reaching at shoulder level.
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent bending at the waist or hips (up to 50% of the shift).
- Must work carefully on slippery surfaces.
- Exposure to production noise; hearing protection may be required.
- Must identify product defects such as improper sealing or damaged packaging.
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Packaging Personnel
Location: Happy's Potato Chips – Saint Anthony, MN
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $19.58 per hourPosition Summary:
Packaging Personnel are responsible for packing bags of snacks into shipping cartons or containers, inspecting product and packaging for quality, and preparing shipments for distribution. This role also involves working with packaging machines and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.
