      Mondelez International is a leading packaged food supplier in North America, covering brands such as Oreo, Chips/Chunks Ahoy!, Ritz, Premium Plus, Cadbury, Dentyne, and Halls.

      Packaging Research and Development is a well-respected, innovative, and growing industry. You will take on a leading role in structural packaging development as you work closely with a cross-functional team, including Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain. You will be exposed to highly automated production lines, food processing, and packaging materials manufacturing. Projects you work on, and the resulting product & packaging formats will be sold in the supermarket, on store shelves across the continent for customers such as Loblaw's, Wal-Mart, Costco, and Shoppers Drug Mart.

      Responsibilities:

      Provide engineering services and innovative solutions to develop consumer packaging from conception to implementation.

      Update packaging specification database

      Create new pallet pattern configurations.

      Support, manage and lead projects for new products and continuous improvement initiatives.

      Understand customer requirements, communicate with suppliers, and cross functional team members on a regular basis.

      Lead packaging related trials at manufacturing plants to test packaging material changes and formats on related packaging equipment.

      Develop and construct prototypes and various packaging mockups and render engineering drawings.

      Co-ordinate cross functional meetings

      Other related office and administrative duties

      Job Requirements & Qualifications:

      Cumulative Average: B (Approx. 75% or greater)

      Preferred Engineering disciplines: Industrial, Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical.

      Working knowledge of PC's and proficiency in software such as MS Windows, MS Office Suite, MS Teams, working knowledge of CAD software.

      Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and handle pressure to meet tight timelines.

      Strong communication skills.

      Experience working in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

      Valid driver's license is desire as you will need to travel within the MDLZ plants in GTA.
