      Job Description

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Works on assignments that are basic to routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted or usual practices is required.

      • Works on basic to routine assignments following written Standard

      • Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Batch Records and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

      • Works in conjunction with other Packaging Technicians under the guidance of a Group/Team Leader and the Packaging Manager.

      • Works on manufacturing and packaging of Gilead products;

      • Assists in the inspection of Gilead products, Clinical Trial Material, and components.

      • With guidance, works on the packaging of Gilead products and Clinical Trial Material.

      • Sets up and operates Packaging line equipment including vial labeler, vial label laser, and carton laser.

      • Prepares cleaning solutions and cleans packaging areas, including walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment.

      • Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in area.

      • Sets up check-weighing of multi-unit cartons.

      • Performs basic ERP/MES transactions.

      • Receives well-defined instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.

      • Reports variance or deviation from standard procedures to department management.

      • Takes variant action only with approval of department management.

      1st and 2nd shifts available, subject to manager's discretion.

      Knowledge & Skills

      • Demonstrates familiarity with written Standard Operating

      • Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records

      • Demonstrates sufficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate basic information to peers and team lead.

      • Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and administrative policies.

      • Demonstrates ability to follow directions and work with only moderate supervision.

      Education & Expereince

      • Associate Degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience

      OR

      • High School Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience


      The salary range for this position is: $55,930.00 - $72,380.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
