      Packaging Technician at a glance…

      The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Packaging Technician to work at our food processing facility in Newberry, SC! The Packaging Technician is responsible for coordinating the overall production process to meet standards and exceed quality, safety, and performance expectations. The position will provide leadership to develop a motivated team that is properly trained to meet the changing requirements of the operation.

      Work Schedule:

      First Shift - 5:15am – 3:45pm (Monday – Thursday)

      *Overtime may also be required*

      Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

      • Follow all established GMP, housekeeping guidelines/responsibilities, and operating procedures.
      • Monitors and is responsible for quality output and takes appropriate actions to ensure production is right the first time.
      • Learning how to pack, grade, and prevent rework at an efficient rate to conduct the breakout routine.
      • Operate multiple/additional equipment, including top and bottom film, 2D bar coder system, and Metal Detector.
      • Capable of maintaining and understanding home settings, standard work, 5S, and implementation of Lean initiatives in area of ownership.
      • Efficiently troubleshoot equipment problems and drive resolution on basic operation level issues. To include functions and theory of operations for the EVO. Understand error messages and perform first step trouble shooting.
      • Must become LOTO certified!

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Able to work on all shifts, weekends and Holidays
      • Workdays may fluctuate from week to week based on production
      • A Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent experience or general education diploma (GED)
      • If you do not meet the preferred requirement, then 1-2 years of continuous work experience required
      • Must have strong communication skills and attention to details.
      • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
