- Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, manage pain levels, and assess post-operative complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, including discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and fellow nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, such as respiratory distress or cardiac events.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to quickly recognize and respond to post-operative complications.
- Proficiency in pain management and administration of medications.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow surgical center protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of PACU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
