Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 nurse on 7D Paediatric Assessment and Short Stay Unit in the Royal London Children's Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. It is a permanent full-time position 1.0 WTE covering shifts of long days and nights and weekends.
PASSU is fast paced, with a varied patient profile, providing high quality nursing care for Babies, Children and Young People under different specialities including, General Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Orthopaedics and General Paediatric Surgery. The ethos of the unit is working in partnership with the children and their families.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have every opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, working closely with all multi-disciplinary team members. Staff are also encouraged and given the opportunity to continue their professional development through attendance on relevant courses with the Barts Health Education Academy, and City St George's and London Southbank Universities.
Barts Health has a busy and demanding Children's service requiring staff to be flexible in their working. The post holder will also be required to work within a challenging clinical environment.
