      Job summary

      We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Paediatric Nurses with valid NMC registration (Intravenous Competency completed due to demands of the role) who are seeking to undertake an interesting and highly rewarding senior nurse role.

      These posts provide the opportunity for a forward thinking and experienced Paediatric Nurse with clinical skills/knowledge in children's complex needs to contribute to the co-ordination of a team of Health Care Support Workers, Nurse Associates and Staff Nurses in delivering individual packages of care.

      This role includes shift work, including nights/weekends. We would also consider someone who only wanted to work night shifts as a shift pattern.

      You will require a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes or be able to travel between community settings in a timely manner. This is essential to travel across the geographical footprint required within the service. Bases are both at Burnley and Preston with packages of care across Lancashire. (Travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with trust policy)

      Main duties of the job

      The successful candidate will work shifts across the Lancashire footprint facilitating nursing care within packages as well as providing training and support to Health Care Support Workers (HCWS) in order to meet the child's health needs.Ensuring a high-quality, evidence-based service with clinical care pathways are delivered utilising available resource effectively in a safe and supportive manner when meeting the needs of CYP and their family.

      You will be well supported by an experienced and dedicated management team as well as peer support amongst colleagues, opportunities to work alongside specialists, a personal and professional development plan. Caseload management and staff supervision skills will be developed within the role along with a robust individual induction plan with training where required in order to meet the role and needs of the service.Annual personal development review and plan to support your career aspirations along with regular team days for training, supportive discussions and well-being sessions.

CPOC is a service which provides nursing and specialist healthcare to Children & Young People (CYP) with an identified continuing health need in their own homes/out in the community and schools.

      Support from a package of care facilitates the transfer home from hospital or enables the family to have support in order to meet their childs needs fully and live a fulfilled life home with their family and within their community.

      This is an NHS ran service and incorporates all the standard NHS staff benefits for working within the service e.g. Enhanced rate for nights and weekend work, pension, paid sick leave, annual leave entitlements and access to evidence based training.
