Significant years of paid search experience across various products, propositions, and brands to deliver business growth including hands on experience within platforms.
Advanced technical skills across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads advertising products and campaign types with the main proficiency on Search-based campaign types. Technical skills across non-Search-based campaign types such as Performance Max, Demand Gen, Display, and YouTube campaign types are a plus.
Experience experiences proactively managing, optimising, and creating paid search programs, partnering with Google and agencies to deliver best practice.
Deep Google platforms experience including using 1st party data, audience development and targeting capabilities, and creative format testing to drive results.
Demonstrated ability to partner with SEO, media, and digital marketing colleagues to develop a holistic approach to programs that support cross-channel experiences. Significant story-telling experience to support developing performance insights and results to wider business stakeholders to drive growth and buy-in.
Salary starting from £35,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)

Paid Search Manager – Salary of Circa £55,000 (London) or Circa £45,000 (National)
Location – London or NorwichOur new Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE) has been formed with the aim of building world class capabilities across key marketing disciplines, from planning through to rapidly evolving digital marketing channels. It changes the emphasis of what we do from product to customer and capability, with the ambition of delivering on our One Aviva strategy.
The Marketing CoE sits alongside similar Data and Digital CoEs, supporting our Go To Market (GTM) teams as they translate business objectives into actionable customer centric campaigns, communications and experiences.
The Marketing CoE is made up of 5 specialist teams - Marketing Strategy, Reporting and Planning; CRM, Content and Creative; Digital Marketing and Media; Customer Insight and Research; the team will lead on all marketing activity.
As a part of our Digital Marketing and Paid Media Team, we have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join as a Paid Search Manager, reporting into the Paid Search Lead.
We’re looking for someone who has worked within regulated environments, across a range of brand, product, and proposition activity; with deep experience in effective campaign and account set-up across Search platforms, performance optimisations and harnessing new platform capabilities to develop strategies to deliver profitable growth for Aviva.
This role will suit a high performing individual who is pro-active, can turn results and insights into action, with extensive experience developing effective holistic search programs that deliver business impact – including delivering trading performance.
A bit about the job:
The Paid Search Manager will be responsible for the delivery of paid search strategy and capabilities to deliver ambitious growth for our Direct Wealth business – creating and managing paid search programs across the full marketing funnel – from demand generation through to conversion activity across all associated search platforms (i.e. Google – Search, Discovery, PMAX, YouTube).You’ll have extensive experience working with 1st party data and driving growth from existing customer groups, effectively delivering test and learn initiatives to drive cost efficiencies while gaining actionable insights.
As a customer champion you’ll have in-depth experience across the customer journey – knowing what leavers to pull in order to deliver performance – from search copy, audience targeting, bid strategies through to landing page optimisation.
We work closely with media agencies and platforms directly (Google, Microsoft) to ensure we’re utilising the latest tech and capabilities to stay ahead of the curve, so you’ll have extensive experience in implementing new initiatives and be able to communicate the opportunities to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
You will work with our Direct Wealth Go-To-Market team, agencies and relevant C&M functions to support delivery of business goals and Media outcomes, so this role will suit a natural storyteller who can effectively communicate the Paid Search growth insights to senior leaders and key stakeholders to gain buy-in on investment and future activity.
This role will suit someone proactively challenges the status quo, is seen as an active contributor within their existing team, who focuses on effective collaboration with our SEO team and can connect the dots between business strategy and media performance.
