      JLL has an opportunity for a Painter to support our client in Chicago, IL.

      The Painters work with the Building Engineers who operate, maintain and perform preventive maintenance along with urgent corrective and routine repairs on all mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, HVAC equipment and the physical environment throughout the campus and as outlined in the current MSA and in accordance with the Local 399 CBA.

      This position requires at least 5 years professional painting experience.

      The shift for this position will be Monday - Friday 2nd shift 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

      Pay $34.93/HR

      Plus Shift Differential

      What will some of your day look like?

      • Applies paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, and wood.
      • Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks.
      • Operates equipment and sets up scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
      • Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.
      • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
      • Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.
      • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
      • Reports in proper working uniform at the beginning of shift to the Assistant Chief Engineer for duty assignments.
      • The Building Engineer uses Corrigo (CMMS) to manage workload and assigned work orders.
      • Operates and performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all building equipment that the facilities department is responsible for maintaining.
      • Must complete the required documentation via Corrigo.
      • Must understand and use appropriate lock-out/tag-out systems and tools.
      • Manages and edits the dashboard on an hourly basis for all work orders in the Corrigo work order system, to ensure timely closing of work orders before the end of shift.
      • Performs additional duties as requested by an Assistant Chief, Chief, or Management.
      • Completes all assigned training within the designated timeframe

      Who should apply?

      Required

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • 5+ years of painting experience
      • Must have proficient knowledge of plumbing, mechanical repairs and
      • maintenance and building operations.
      • You must have the ability to join Local 399 upon hire

      Preferred

      • 3+ years of related engineering experience

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

      • This job requires extensive standing and walking during the workday
      • Must be able to stoop, crouch, and kneel while performing tasks in cramped, difficult areas
      • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
      • Must be able to safely climb and balance on ladders when performing tasks in or at the ceiling
