- Properly applying paint or stain to all surfaces including plaster, sheetrock, metal, wood, fiberglass, wood floors, doors and millwork as per paint/ stain directions.
- Utilizing powered equipment such as scissor, boom, fork and atrium lifts.
- Gel Coat restoration.
- Metal prep and protection.
- Mix and match all types of paint and finishes.
- Properly prep and prepare surfaces for paint or finishes and apply area protection when needed.
- Properly fill cracks, holes and joints with appropriate product.
- Cut, hang and finish sheetrock
- Erect scaffolding and install various rigging to gain access to difficult areas.
- Use of ladders ranging from 2’ to 20’
- Move equipment and furniture as necessary.
- Remove and reinstall fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps and electric switch covers as necessary.
- Touchups and additional coats.
- Calculate amounts of required materials.
- Utilize paint booth with spray equipment.
- 3 year’s minimum of commercial painting experience
- Must be able to work in various weather climates.
- Must have ability to stoop, kneel or bend
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to differentiate between colors
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to work heights in excess of 15 feet
- Experience in drywall repairs, texture and finishing
- Attention to detail and keeping work environment clean and organized while working
- Previous experience in a hotel/service industry is a plus

The Hotel Painter is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior painted surfaces of the property, ensuring that all guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are consistently clean, well-kept, and visually appealing. This position supports the hotel's maintenance and aesthetics by performing painting, staining, patching, drywall repair, and finishing work throughout the facility.
