      NoMo SoHo is a boutique hotel, nestled in the heart of New York’s SoHo fashion, art, and shopping neighborhood. Known for offering a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline, modern rooms, local art and a unique dining and beverage experience, NoMo SoHo seeks to deliver satisfaction to our guests.

      Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project.
      • Identifies and orders appropriate paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed.
      • Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, grit blast, or other methods.
      • Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects furniture, hardware, rugs, trim, and other nonpainted surfaces.
      • Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools.
      • Performs basic stencil and line work on different surfaces.
      • May apply wallpaper, specialty finishes, and glazes.
      • Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
      • Maintains a clean work area.
      • Prepares invoices and other paperwork detailing material and labor time and costs.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Required Skills/Abilities:

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods of standing and painting.
      • Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders
      • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
      • Must be able to distinguish among colors.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Excellent communication skills,
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
      • A positive attitude towards providing exceptional service.

      For applicants in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $ 31.34 to 41.79 per hour as per IWA agreement. The pay rate offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, the industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect same roles in other states.
