  Job Description:
  Our professional painter will assist in the maintenance division with preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, stain, wall paper and coatings to help beautify and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures throughout the park. Preserving buildings, equipment, midways and rides through continual maintenance is also an ongoing part of this role. Rate based on experience level: Painter I, Painter II, Senior Painter or Foreperson - Paint.
  
  Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain fiberglass surfaces in enclosed spaces.
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or other means to attain desired surface to apply paint, or product specified to inside and outside surfaces of buildings, structures, rides, and other areas.
  • Prepares and repairs drywall surfaces, taping preferred.
  • Utilize pre-coating agents, filling and leveling materials, and mix and match colors and textures.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets in the successful completion of assigned painting task.
  • Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.
  • Remove previous paint by means of sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning.
  • Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials.
  • Preforms airless rig operations.
  • Paints with brush and roller.
  • Preforms work on scaffold/elevated platforms.
  • Performs occasional operation of forklifts.
  • Operates pressure washers.
  • Monitors shop stock/inventory.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  
  Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience painting is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work from color blueprints.
  • High level familiarity and experience working with shop tools.
  • Prior experience mixing paint products is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and from heights.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
