      Description:

      Position Purpose :

      Performs a variety of tasks to include indoor/outdoor painting, wall covering, and surface preparation, to assure a safe and pleasant environment of care.

      What you will do:

      • Performs a variety of duties that include preparation, painting, covering and varnishing of surfaces in a professional manner. Installs infection control barriers and air filtration units.
      • Installs wall covering as instructed by Director of Engineering.
      • Maintains an inventory of necessary equipment and supplies maintaining the facility in a safe and pleasant condition.
      • Repairs damaged wall coverings in a manner, maintaining a safe and pleasant environment of care.
      • Responds immediately to emergency calls and projects; completes in a timely fashion.
      • Assists other trades when requested by the engineering Director.

      Minimum Qualifications :

      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Three (1) to five (5) years experience with paint and wall cover product application, associated with residential, commercial and or health care facilities.
      • Requires the ability to solve simple problems involving math and technical skills.
      • Requires the ability to respond to simple written or verbal instructions.
      • Occasional contact with patients, visitors and staff which requires tact and courtesy.
      • Requires the ability to read and write English.
