- Ability to prepare and paint, all Electrical Distribution equipment, and other apparatus as assigned.
- Ability to assist personnel in the department they are assigned to complete daily tasks.
- Ability to perform work alone within the conformance of training and safe work practices.
- Able to take directions and have a willingness to learn.
- Perform assigned work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company practices and procedures.
- Become familiar with the basic skills inherent in the classification in which they are assigned. Able to safely perform work within their training and ability.
- Be able to safely operate both a Conventional and Airless Paint Sprayer.
- Have a basic understanding of different paints and their application.
- Be able to safely operate both air, and electrical grinding/sanding equipment.
- Be able to safely operate high pressure washing equipment.
- Possess the ability to learn the required duties and the physical coordination necessary to use tools and equipment associated with his/her work area.
- Maintain high level of awareness and responsibility for environmental considerations that affect them, their jobs and the company to the level of their knowledge, training and experience. Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of general paint terms
- Knowledge of proper paint applications including use of airless sprayers
- Basic use of PPE

Testing Requirements
There will be a two-part testing procedure required for this position. The first step is a written technical skills test followed by a behavioral based interview. A passing grade on the technical skills test is needed to progress to the interview portion of the recruitment process.
We are providing a study outline to prepare for both the written technical skills test and the behavioral based interview. The outline is designed to maximize test results by centralizing study time in the areas listed below:

Behavioral Based Interview
The interview is a behavioral-based interview. We believe past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior, and behavior that is more recent is a better predictor of future behavior than older behavior, and long-standing trends are better predictors of behavior than isolated incidents. We therefore have patterned the questions during the interview to solicit behavior patterns that indicate with higher predictability whether the candidate can perform the job as required. This type of interview is different from those you may have taken in the past.
Position Description:
This job classification paints equipment, and structural surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Requires preparation of surfaces for primer and final coat.
