Until Filled Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
Assist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
Support PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) for all students in all settings.
Operate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
Implement behavior support plan.
Guide independent work, enrichment work, and remedial work set up assigned by the teacher.
Assist with the supervision of the students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips.
Assist with large group and small group activities.
Assist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines.
Assist with hygiene and toilet routines as needed.
Serve as a source of information to help any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
Assist with accurate data collection.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
Varied.
Terms of Employment9-month work year. Wage and work year to be established by the Board. Employment subject to provisions of board policy, state and federal law.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Building Assistant Principal, or in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of staff.
