What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise, train, and provide guidance to legal support staff on complex tasks and projects
- Develop and update procedures for file organization and litigation preparation
- Provide expert-level support for multi-year investigations and litigation processes
- Act as a liaison between attorneys, opposing counsel, and various stakeholders
- Prepare legal documents and maintain accurate records for investigations and litigation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Combination of five years of experience through paralegal certification or relevant degrees
- Experience as a Paralegal 2 in Washington State Service for at least three years
- Mastery of computer skills for timely and accurate work product
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workload effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in preparing legal pleadings and correspondence
- Familiarity with court rules and procedures for filing documents
- Background in conflict resolution and adaptability to changing needs
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Previous experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues
