      Our ideal candidate

      Desirable:

      • Currently studying a degree in law from an Australian university or a comparable overseas degree which is recognised in Australia for admission to practice, or have experience working in the legal industry
      • Ability to work independently and manage specific activities and processes
      • Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and demands
      • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
      • Good written and oral communication skills.

      Duties and responsibilities

      • Under supervision assist in the delivery of legal services
      • Undertake legal research and analysis on a range of issues and prepare reports and case summaries
      • Comply with record keeping policies by accurately maintaining documents and files, including for specific projects
      • Provide assistance where required in drafting correspondence, briefs to counsel and court documents
      • Assist in court preparation, including discovery related tasks and general document management.

      Eligibility

      To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

      The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
