      Job Description:

      The Paralegal/Contract Administrator will provide legal and contracting expertise support to the company’s General Counsel. This includes preparation of legal documentation and general legal support, reviewing, drafting, negotiating and administration of construction, manufacturing and procurement contracts of comprehensive scope and complexity.

      • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
      • Provide support to General Counsel on discrete legal issues on a variety of subjects, including contracts, contract compliance and litigation management.
      • Manage calendars, compliance deadlines and schedules of legal department.
      • Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal authorities.
      • Prepare draft legal documents including but not limited to briefs, pleadings, and related documents.
      • Conduct document review and evaluation as necessary for contract administration and/or litigation management.
      • Assist in the creation, drafting, and execution of contracts.
      • Evaluate and monitor contract performance, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules, amendments, extensions, and compliance with contractual obligations.
      • Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations (maintains an understanding of regulatory and governmental policies).
      • Ensure contract amendments and terms are communicated to all stakeholders (internal customers, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations).
      • Manage and maintain the development of standard contractual templates and facilitates widespread usage.
      • Contribute to the development of strategies for the efficient administration of agreements.
      • Prepare and file project documents and forms as required by contract or law.
      • Act as a liaison between the company and trade partners in the implementation of agreements.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Preferred Education and Experience

      • Three to five years of experience as a Paralegal or Contract Administrator.
      • Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
