      Job Title: Paralegal

      Location: Portsmouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

      Salary: Circa £38,000 dependent on skills and experience

      What you’ll be doing:

      · Drafting/reviewing/revising a wide variety of contracts with the supervision of the Legal Counsel

      · Reviewing and ensuring compliance with company policies

      · Developing, updating and maintaining contract templates, forms and guidelines

      · Working with Project, Engineering and Commercial teams to ensure legal compliance

      · Drafting and updating training materials and support training on various topics

      · Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks for the Legal Counsel and assisting with administration of existing contracts

      · Rely on experience and good judgment to accomplish goals and escalate material issues

      Your skills and experiences:

      · Currently holds an English Law Qualification – Law Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or CILEX qualification

      · Significant paralegal or commercial contracting experience which demonstrates sound knowledge of contractual law required

      · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

      The Legal Team – Maritime Services team:

      You will be joining a team of experienced Solicitors supporting on Bids, Contracts, Regulation and Governance in a dynamic and varied role. You will be working closely within the Maritime Services Legal team and alongside senior stakeholders within the wider organisation, often on complex work streams. You will also have to build a network of professional relationships with the key stakeholders and your direct team.
