- You will provide legal analysis and interpretations of directives, manuals, laws for attorneys.
- You will interview potential witnesses and prepares summary interview reports for the attorney's review.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day client intake, appointment scheduling, and case file management.
- You will be responsible for collection and maintenance of DES Program metrics and day-to-day management of administrative matters.
- You will prepare and organize case exhibits.
- You will identify and analyze problems and weigh relevance and accuracy of information.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist of NLSC.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing the legal impact of legislative developments and administrative/judicial decisions; conducting research for the preparation of legal opinions; performing substantive legal analysis; communicating of the issues and legal research and preparing legal documents.
Examples of specialized experience includes duties such as:
1) Reviewing legal case materials to become familiar with questions under consideration;
2) Interviewing potential witnesses and prepares summary interview reports for the attorney's review;
3) Using a case management system, database, or other software to manage cases, organize files, and track clients and deadlines;
4) Preparing and organizing case exhibits;
5) Overseeing or administering legal office operations that ensure compliance with established guidelines and requirements;
6) Using electronic databases such as LEXIS or WESTLAW to perform legal research.
