      Req#: R00012802

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias, because we want everyone to feel that they belong. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common mind-set.

We recognise that one size does not fit all. Our goal is to embed flexibility across our firm by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further.

      About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and academically exceptional individual to join our firm as a Paralegal/Support Lawyer. The successful candidate will initially work within the General Transactional Team, receiving comprehensive training and exposure across a variety of matters, before becoming fully embedded within the Structured Solutions Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working within a specialist team that is involved in complex and nuanced legal work.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Support the Structured Solutions Team on transactional matters and other team-specific work as required.
      • Conduct legal research, prepare documentation, and contribute to the drafting process.
      • Assist with project organisation and the coordination of complex transactions.
      • Engage in direct communication with team members and, where appropriate, with clients to deliver high-quality support.
      • Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach when working across both general transactional and Structured Solutions Team-specific responsibilities.

      Skills and Qualifications Required:

      • Academic Background: 2:1 degree or higher (a first-class degree strongly preferred). Additional evidence of academic achievement (e.g. awards, scholarships, or postgraduate studies) will also be highly regarded.
      • Professional Qualification: Completion of SQE / LPC / BPTC, or qualified lawyer.
      • Intellectual Curiosity: Ability to quickly grasp and apply advanced legal and transactional concepts handled by the Structured Solutions Team.
      • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and care in all legal and administrative tasks.
      • Strong Work Ethic: A driven and disciplined approach to managing tasks under tight deadlines.
      • Experience: While previous transactional and/or finance experience is beneficial, academic strength and potential are prioritised above practical experience.

      Technical Skills

This list of duties and responsibilities above is not exhaustive. It is intended to describe the general content of, and requirements for, the performance of this job. As such, the role may also include the undertaking of additional tasks as required.

      Application Policy

Applications and CVs (direct or via agency) are only accepted online via the portal. Queries related to this role must be directed to the recruitment team ( tempbtrecruitment@linklaters.com ) and not partners, practices or stakeholders.
