      Job summary

      Echo Fire and Medical Ltd are thrilled to announce that we are now recruiting for the new role of Lecturer Practitioner.

      The Lecturer Practitioner will already hold a HCPC registration for Paramedic Practice and will work within both Operations and Education within our organisation.

      Echo Fire and Medical Ltd are a CQC registered (and rated 'GOOD' in all areas) pre-hospital care provider. We are growing, we are leading within our industry by example and are looking to include the right individual within our teams to support the delivery of best practice within clinical care.

      Main duties of the job

      The Lecturer Practitioner will deliver, support and develop clinical education to both staff and external candidates and form part of our wider Internal Quality Assurance team, driving forward best practice and development through support within pre-hospital care.

      In addition to the above, the successful individual will also form part of our clinical operations team responding to 999 calls, deliver clinical care in a variety of other settings including specialist event venues and Helimed road transport movements, and finally provide clinical support to non registered HCP's.

      Job responsibilities

      The Lecturer Practitioner will form an integral role within our clinical operations, supervisory and educational teams within our organisation.

      In addition to the information already listed herein, the successful individual will be responsible for/be:

      Be an active member of our operational service delivery, leading by example through the completion of clinical deployments

      establish networks (professional and academic) to maintain current and ongoing personal development

      contribute to project management and development of education

      deliver CPD sessions

      create educational memos and training/development aids

      provide ongoing support to students including clinical and operational advice

      promote the engagement of CPD within the organisation to all staff and support the culture of engagement with ongoing learning as individuals and as a team

      effectively mark and feedback submitted work

      review action plans and provide feedback and engagement opportunities to support learners on their career journey

      carry out assessments within both education and operations (eg ILS/ALS assessments and so forth)

      create and develop policies and operating documents where required

      create and develop appropriate course materials including (but not limited to) powerpoint, lesson plans, learner handbooks and other

      contribute to the quality assurance programme

      create and support strategy meetings to develop quality and delivery of education through the tutor team

      support and develop best practice within education administration

      support the development of our new mentorship programme for developing mentors and carry out regular contact with mentors to understand mentees learning/operation journeys so far addressing/supporting where required/identified
