- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including educators/healthcare professionals
- Manages time efficiently and meets deadlines independently
- Attend and contribute to in-person AHEC Pathways events and meetings
- Review the existing Rural CTEPS health pathway curriculum
- Revise and enhance curriculum modules in response to feedback
- Develop a comprehensive teaching guide for instructors
- Other duties as assigned

Position Title
Rural Health Curriculum Development Specialist
The Rural Health Curriculum Development Specialist supports SERRC and the Alaska Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Pathways program by refining and enhancing health sciences curriculum for rural Alaska. This short-term contract position plays a vital role in aligning instructional materials with Alaska science educational standards and current healthcare workforce needs, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Position Description
The Specialist will review and revise the Rural CTEPS (Career and Technical Education Pathways in Health Sciences) curriculum and instructional materials based on input from instructors, trainers, and industry partners. This work includes attending in-person AHEC events and meetings, facilitating workshops and structured discussions, developing new content modules, and preparing a comprehensive teaching guide to support implementation.Reports to

Position Duties and Responsibilities
Remote with required travel to in-person events
Working Schedule
Short-term contract, July 10 - August 31. Estimated 105 hours total.
Regular work hours are typically from 8:00 am-4:30 pm AKST.Salary
Beginning at $45/hr, commensurate with experience
