      The Parent Resource Program Associate will work closely with the program coordinator, training coordinator and program evaluator to write required grant reports, mentor students and other PRCs and finally, work with the team to identity needed changes to the project database and monitor the team’s progress in implementing changes.

      The position reports directly to the Family Care Enhancement Project Manager at MMI and interacts with all University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) faculty, staff, and members of the UCEDD Consumer Advisory Board.

      Will also provide support as a Parent Resource Advocate, parents or family members of children with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and disabilities who are knowledgeable regarding the services, resources and supports available throughout Nebraska.

      Parent Resource Advocates are experienced in navigating service delivery systems with an emphasis on early intervention services in the schools.

      They use their knowledge and training to help families of CYSHCNs and disabilities access suitable community resources and services. PRCs provide information referral services to families of children with special health care needs in community medical offices and coordinate with families to assure access to recommended services.

      Located in Nebraska - specific work location is negotiable (Kearney, Lincoln, Omaha)
