      YOU MUST MEET THE HEIGHT QUALIFICATIONS TO AUDITION. (5'7' - 5-10')

      Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking energetic performers with strong movement abilities to bring our costumed characters to life for our guests. Characters consist of a lineup of original Knott’s Berry Farm characters. Those who would like to be considered must meet specific height qualifications. Materials will be taught at the audition. Seeking a diverse spectrum of gender identities, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. An ideal candidate is able to stand and perform in full head-to-toe character costumes at least eight times a day and have a silhouette that is proportionate to their height. Performers must have the ability and willingness to perform in outdoor venues wearing a fully-covered character costumes in varying Southern California temperatures and weather conditions. Please bring a photo and resume. This role is compensated at a rate of $16.64/hr.

      Responsibilities:
      • Participating in special events, meet and greets, photo ops, and much more!
      • Interacting with our guests and making their day amazing through meaningful connections.
      • Creating a warm and welcoming environment for a diverse range of guests.
      • Contributing to our exceptional track record for safety
      • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
      • Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
      • Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies
      • Adhering to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
      • Performing other duties as they are assigned

      Qualifications:
      • Performers in the following height ranges:
        • 4'7' - 5'3'
        • 5'8' - 5'10'
      • Individuals who are able to stand and perform in full character costumes at least eight times a day and have a silhouette that is proportionate to their height.
      • A genuine desire to make guests feel welcome and create lifelong memories.
      • Open-minded team players who are eager to learn and develop skills on the job.
      • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekend nights and holidays
      • Passionate guest service that anticipates needs
      • An outgoing, fun, positive, and professional and personality
      • Self-sufficiency, adaptability, flexibility, and ability to self-direct
      • Patience and receptiveness to guest requests
      • Demonstration of compassion for challenging guest interactions
      • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, rain, etc.
      • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
      • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
      • Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
