      Department: Parks + Rec

      Grade: 160

      Salary: $21.42/hour

      Job Duties:

      • Responsible for attending a Missouri POST Accredited Academy and gaining certification as a Missouri law enforcement officer while serving as a full-time associate in the Park Ranger Division.
      • attends academy training classes, learning the qualifications required for certification, and passing the certification exam
      • May perform other Park Ranger support duties as assigned by their supervisor, including providing park safety services, patrol of park properties, emergency support services, providing information to visitors to encourage proper behavior in the parks.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
      • One year of work-related experience.
      • Must be 21 years of age, and vision must not be worse than 20/200 correctable to 20/20.
      • Must enroll and be accepted into a Class "A" certification program from Missouri Department of Public Safety Police Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST).
      • Must not have been convicted of or plead guilty to a felony or serious misdemeanor and pass motor vehicle records check.
      • Must possess/maintain valid Driver's License.
      • Must submit to/pass pre-employment background check, psychological exams and drug screen.
