      The City of Napa is seeking applicants for one (1) limited-term Parking Enforcement Officer opening in the Parking Programs Division in our Community Development Department. The Parking Programs Division is led by our Compliance Programs Manager who works alongside a hardworking team of two (2) full-time Parking Enforcement Officers to ensure compliance with parking requirements across the entire City.

      As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will perform a variety of activities in the enforcement of motor vehicle parking regulations and be responsible for tasks such as issuing and tracking citations. You will also focus on addressing parking enforcement issues and responding to abandoned vehicle concerns. Our Parking Enforcement Officers are housed in the Parking Programs Division within our Community Development Department; however, this position will be responsible for working outside in the field and interacting closely with other departments and divisions on a daily basis such as our Police Department and 911 Dispatch Center.

      Our Parking Programs Division is quickly growing and strives to support our residents in addition to our lively tourist activity.       Special Requirements: Possession and continued maintenance of a California Class “C” Driver’s license is required.

      This current opening is to fill a Limited Term position, which is expected to serve a two-year term from the date of hire. The initial employment term of any limited term employee is two years, with a possible one-year extension by the City Council, for a potential term of three years. This position is contingent upon the Council's final approval of the budget in June.
