Job Description

Title: Parking Enforcement Officer

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Wage: $15.80 to $16.80 per hour

Position: Full Time

Positions Available:

Allied Universal® is hiring Professional Parking Enforcement Officers for a site in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, the individual is responsible for ensuring the enforcement of site regulations to help to maximize the availability of parking spaces, minimize traffic congestion, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents and visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting routine patrols of designated parking areas to monitor compliance with parking regulations.
• Issue parking citations or tickets to vehicles that violate parking regulations, such as parking in restricted zones, expired meters, or unauthorized spaces.
• Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring accuracy in citations and photographic documentation.
• Resolve disputes or conflicts related to parking violations through effective communication and mediation with motorists and stakeholders.
• Record and report daily statistics.
• Adhere to professional standards of dress, ensure operational readiness of equipment, and manage wireless connectivity, while responding to patrol requests efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have Class 5 Driver’s License with at least 1 year of driving experience in Canada and a clean driver's abstract.
• Must be at least 25 years of age due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada full-time.
• Candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, working in all weather conditions including cold and heat, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, parking enforcement, or a related field is considered an asset.
