Provo City Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for part-time seasonal laborer positions needed to work at the new EPIC Sports Park in the Sports Division.

Duration of Positions : Approximately May through November 2024.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience). Payment will be by direct deposit.

Essential Duties:

• Paint/mark the sidelines for various sports fields.

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.

• Clean restrooms and pick up debris.

• Operate trucks, four wheelers, or small tractors.

• Assist in field layout and painting.

• Assist other crew members as needed/directed and perform other related work as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Sufficient knowledge, training, and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.

• Valid, lawful driver license.

Hours: Schedule varies Monday through Sunday and will be determined by supervisor. Must be flexible to work some weekends with tournaments, special events, or preventative maintenance, as directed.

Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires strenuous physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; lifting (up to 70 lbs.); and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some pesticides. Applicant must have physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work.

Pre-employment Screening: Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of 6 months.
