Background information: My husband and I are both UW alumni. Husand is an attorney and I work at the UW School of Education. I am a former secondary teacher. We lived in Chicago for a few years but recently moved back to Middleton. Our son is very curious and active. He loves to explore the neighborhood and dig in the dirt and sand. He is currently obsessed with dinosaurs, rocks, sticks, and the zoo. We treat babysitters like they are an extention of our family. You are welcome to eat our food at our house and treat it as your home. We live very close to Tiedman Pond Nature Preserve. I do not require a car, we live close to a bus stop (the R will drop you off close to our house). We do our best to help with driving you back to campus (or your home) when we are able.

1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
Looking for a patient, active, and kind part-time babysitter for my energetic 3 year old son. My son has autism and requires some extra patience and willingness to meet him where he is at. We need someone that can work 4-7 hours this summer and then continue to work in the fall/winter. We will be very flexible with your times both in the summer and fall. Some of these hours can occur on the weekends. Our son does best when he sees his care-givers consistently and we really want to hire a student that can commit to helping our family for longer than 4 months (so past the summer). Additionally, I will ask that you help with light cleaning and organizing the house.
We live in Middleton right by Stricker Pond (near the Nitty Gritty on Gammon Road). I work partially from home so I can be here to help out (especially when you first start) and be of assistance. Pay is $20 a hour. After 3 months, I will up your pay to $25 an hour.

Must be a UW student or a recent graduate
Must be kind, patient, and reliable
