What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both in-store and outdoors
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Maintain and inspect equipment on the lot, including vehicle hookups and fluid checks
- Educate customers on products and services, answer questions, and prepare rental invoices
- Participate in continuous education and training through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in safety precautions and wear protective gear as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or retail roles
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of trailer wiring and installation
- Familiarity with propane filling procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
