      The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Health and Exercise Science, invites applications for a Part-Time, in-person teaching position for the 2026 Spring Semester (January 20-May 17, 2026) on the Johnson campus.

      The course to be taught is AHS- 2350, Physical Activity in Health and Disease

      3 Credits

      This introductory course examines the influence of physical activity and fitness on the development of chronic disease and improvement in life expectancy. Students will consider the risk factors for the development of chronic diseases and how these can be modified by meeting the Department of Health and Human Service’s Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Students will also explore screening tools used to assess current physical activity levels.

      Minimum Qualifications:
      Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree in exercise science, physiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or relevant discipline.

      Salary:
      Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
