    • BCIT’s Adult Education division is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Part-Time Instructor to teach Introduction to Fashion to adult learners. This foundational course explores fashion design principles, textiles, industry trends, and the full design-to-production process. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering creative expression while equipping students with practical, real-world skills for entry into the fashion industry.
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field (preferred)

    • Prior teaching or industry experience in fashion design or related fields

    • Strong understanding of current fashion trends, design tools, and materials

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    • Ability to engage and support adult learners from diverse backgrounds

    • Evening availability required

    • Experience in sewing, pattern making, and/or fashion software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D)

    • Portfolio of personal or student work encouraged for review

    • Must pass a criminal history background check

    • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required

    • Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire

    • Drug testing required

      Position Summary

      • BCIT’s Adult Education division is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Part-Time Instructor to teach Introduction to Fashion to adult learners.       Qualifications
