      This is a part-time role (10-15 hours per week).

      JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

      The Jr. Business Intelligence Developer collaborates in the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions. Uses data analytics platforms, reporting tools, and visualization techniques to turn raw data into meaningful insights that help organizations make informed decisions. Provides key support to senior members of the Business Intelligence team, sharing responsibility for database support, development, and enhancements to assist assigned departments with their reporting needs.

      JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

      • Collaborates with business stakeholders, data analysts, other members of the Business Intelligence team and senior leadership to support the design, build, and deployment of automated, self-service, and sustainable reporting solutions.
      • Supports the design and development of reports and interactive dashboards based on business requirements that provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making
      • Participates in and supports requirement-gathering sessions
      • Creates automated solutions on a prioritized list of legacy reporting in BI tools or solutions
      • Facilitates testing and training of developed solutions
      • Collaborates with and supports other members of the Viega Business Intelligence team on projects to maintain a clean data structure and “single source of truth”
      • Creates and maintains documentation as needed
      • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
      • May be required to travel up to 20% of the time

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Understanding of data modeling and complex database schema
      • Proven ability to successfully build relationships with stakeholders
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Shows careful attention to detail
      • Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities
      • Demonstrated commitment to project timelines and deliverables
      • General understanding of data integration tools, data modeling, ETL processes and query development
      • Effectively learns and uses analytics tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, SAC or similar)
      • Proficient in the use of common office equipment and software (e.g. computers and Microsoft Office products)

      Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

      • 1-2 years of college-level education required with a focus on data analytics/business intelligence preferred
      • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
      • Previous work and/or school experience in data/analytic projects and support required
      • Technical experience with Excel, SQL, ETL tools required
      • Snowflake experience preferred
      • SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI experience preferred

      Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

      Total Rewards Package

      Compensation

      • Base: $32.00 - $34.00/hour, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
