      Job Title:

      Part-Time Wednesday AM Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician

      Division/Program:

      (Adult 24/7 Inpatient) Crisis Residential Unit

      Starting Compensation:

      30.00 - 33.00 USD Per Hour

      Working Location:

      Merced, CA

      Working Hours/Shift:

      Wednesdays, AM Shift 6 AM to 630 PM. Opportunities to pick up additional shifts available based on facility need.

      This position is eligible for our Commuter Benefit Program for:

      • This position is eligible for commuter benefits for those who travel more than 20 miles one way from their residence to their work location.

      • Eligible employees approved for the Commuter Benefit Program will receive $200 per month for regular full-time employees and $100 per month for regular part-time employee

      What you bring to SBHG:

      • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.

      • Associate degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.

      • (1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.)

      • (1) year medication administration experience preferred.

      • Valid California LVN or LPT license required.

      How you will make a difference:

      • Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
      • Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ or nurse practitioners’ orders.
      • Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
      • Communicates pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members.
      • Assists in crisis intervention (including the use of Pro-ACT) and provides support and assistance in problem resolution. Uses Pro-ACT to appropriately intervene with assaultive/volatile clients.
      • Reads and responds to company communications via email, telephone, or other selected mode within a reasonable timeframe.
      • Logs into established company information sharing sites regularly to maintain current knowledge of changes in policy, procedure, events, etc..

      Division/Program Overview:

      • 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
      • 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
      • Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
      • Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
      • Medication evaluation and support services
